This awesome mama truly has a few good men in her life. First there’s her amazing hubby who has already served one tour and is about to go back for another.

Then there’s this little guy…he’s such a cutie. I got to shoot him as a newborn and I was beyond ecstatic to see him again.

and you know a family that has such wonderful men in it has got to have a seriously fabulous mama to hold them together and that would be this mama!!

A beautiful family with such a great story so far. I am happy to get to document it all.

Ever see a photographer who starts out with a 365 day project, or even a 52 week project and never finishes? Yeah, me too. Well, I recently joined a group of a few other busy photographers who decided to commit to a 12 month project! If we fail this, we’ll be taking donations for a time management seminar. The best part is that it will be totally candid, lifestyle shots of each of our own families/lives. We don’t even have to dredge up random people or make our kids pose for us. We’re calling the series “The Story of ________” and we’ll each be filling in our own blanks. I had so much fun photographing this family! They not only dressed well, but they were so easy to pose and shoot. I caught some of my favorite images of this family just interacting together. They were not only a really sweet family, but their handsome little guy stole my heart with his shy and endearing smile. Swoon!!! Meet the K family:

This is the second cousin that I was able to shoot while I was in Texas.  Lucky for us, this little guy was born just shy of a month before my trip so we attempted some images of this guy outside and fortunately he went to putty in the Texas heat! Love that!! This truck was also a new prop that baby Cade broke in for me.  Isn’t he precious?

Another from my Texas sessions, this family is special to me because they were both very close to me throughout college.  It is so very fun to me that these two are making a life together.   These guys would fulfill my own personal definition of a power couple!

Every so often, I am blessed to get to travel back to Texas to see my family and this time I photographed my cousin Rance and his wife Abby and their son Rylan.  It was so much fun to get to hang out with them and love on my family.  These guys are so sweet and Abby did an amazing job dressing her family!!  They are definitely a “what to wear” example!!

I am just now sharing this, but I love these and thought they would be a neat share. My sister found the original image of my mom and me after watching The Family Stone. She loved that movie so she scanned the old image (it was a Polaroid), printed and framed it for my mom.  Both my sister and my mom came up to Colorado for the birth of my son and we re-created this image.  I have these hanging at 8x10s in the hallway in big fat black frames.  I love them and it makes me smile every time I walk by.

This family was so sweet and fun to work with.  I loved their names too! I had such a great time photographing their beautiful children and their wonderful family!  I hope you enjoy!

These two are sisters!  They are both way sweet and I had a blast photographing them the other day!!  There were way too many that I LOVE!!  I can’t pick! Thanks girls for a fun afternoon!

Colorado Springs Baby Photographer

This girl is an amazing personal trainer!  She whipped me into shape post-baby!  I had a great time taking pictures of this family!
